WMU OVER EMU BY

335) WESTERN MICHIGAN (-12.5, ov57.0)
(336) EASTERN MICHIGAN (+12.5,
un57.0) Saturday, Oct 22 2011, 10:00 AM
PST
Bill Cubit’s Western Michigan (4-3 SU, 4-1 ATS) had a terrific offense (34th in the nation)
last season and looks even better. Alex Carder threw for a career-high 479 yards and five
touchdowns to lead Western Michigan to a 38-31 win over Connecticut. They won’t be in a
good mood this week, however, coming off a 51-22 loss at Northern Illinois and they will bounce
back this week. The Broncos are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. Eastern
Michigan doesn’t have much offense (20 ppg). They looked out of gas as Toledo routed
Eastern Michigan 54-16, giving up 542 yards (240 rushing). The Eagles were held to 89 yards
rushing and 227 yards total offense. The Eagles are 7-21 ATS in their last 28 home games.
The road team is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 meetings. A roadie cover for WMU. This was a losing
college football pick.
Projected Score: Western Michigan 44, Eastern Michigan

FALCONS/LIONS OVER BY 12 (413) ATLANTA FALCONS
(+3.0, ov47.0)
(414) DETROIT LIONS (-3.0,
un47.0) Sunday, Oct 23 2011, 10:00 AM
PST
The Falcons (3-3 SU/2-4 ATS) have a lot of talented pieces on offense with QB Matt Ryan, and
rookie WR Julio Jones joining Roddy White. The Packers stayed unbeaten with a 25-14 victory at
Atlanta as the Falcons blew a 14-0 lead. The Falcons lost two members of their secondary in the
first half. Safety William Moore went out with a shoulder injury, while nickel back Chris Owens
was sidelined by a head injury. The secondary is soft. The Over is 11-5-2 in the
Falcons last 18 games overall. Detroit has QB Matthew Stafford, WR Calvin Johnson, RB
Jahvid Best. The offense is 7th in the NFL with 283 yards passing per game. The coverage units
struggled as well. The winning touchdown was set up by a 40-yard punt return by Ted Ginn, Jr.
The Lions have a new hurry-up attack offense, as in a thrilling 34-30 upset at Dallas with a
31-10 second half! Stafford was 21 of 43 for 240 yards and two touchdowns, both to WR Johnson.
The Over is 38-20-2 in the Lions last 60 games overall. Can't see any defense with these
passing games on a a fast track indoors. Take the OVER. This was a losing NFL pick.
Projected Score: Lions 31,
Falcons 28
