Become A Professional Football Handicapper

After being in this business for 27 years, the one thing that I hear most often is this statement. I think I have the ability to be a professional handicapper. How did you become a professional handicapper? Where can I get a chance to show my skills and how can I get started?

Well, back in 1981 is when I started, I was a young gun with a chip on my shoulder. I thought, dang, I can pickem' better than they can. Well, I joined a national handicapping monitoring service and soon proved what I had been saying for years. You can read more right here. 

As you can see, I put my money where my mouth was, because at that time in 1981 it would cost me $400 per sport category just to be monitored. That's $400 in 1981 dollars! This was just to prove you can pickem' better than all the professional handicappers. Therefore, for football it would cost me $800 (college $400 & pro $400). Again, this was just to show my handicapping prowess and have my picks monitored. That was great for me, but then I realized, how do I sell my picks and make some money? I found out very quickly that being a sports service owner did not only require expert handicapping, but it also entailed running a business. Being a Business Administration major, that was not the biggest problem for me at that time. The biggest problem was advertising and marketing expenses and finding a platform where I could be found. Don't forget now, we're talking 1981 and no internet. My 1/4 page ads cost thousands and I would sit by the phone hoping it would ring, so that I would have a chance to sell my expert football picks. Then maybe, just maybe, I'll be consistent enough to keep winning and maintain a good customer base. Well, I must've done something right, because I've been doing it for 27 years and we've grown into one of the most respected sports services in the nation. Since then, I've added 3 more handicappers specializing in various sports or niches within a sport.

You don't have to put up a web page to be entered in the football handicapping contest.

1. Web Page Design: We can design a web page for your advertising needs. Your design will have the look and feel of our our website. Same borders, but the body will be your choice. The unique part will be a header design and body content to your satisfaction. We take care of payments, records, buy buttons, merchant account transactions. All you do is email your picks and we do rest. Any sales you produce are sent to you by Wednesday of the following week.
Fee: One-time web page design fee is only $100. 

2. You may use your own logo and header images. But this does not relief you of the entire web page design as stated above. If you send us your web page HTML, there will no charge for the web page design, but there will be a one time charge for setup which is only $25. Note: if you use your own web page, the total page must be your own page. No part of our website design will be part of your web page (including our borders, design or links. 

3. Add a full website link: You can add a text link to every page in our website (including our home page). This is for a link to your web page, from every page in our site.  Link Fee = $100 per sport season.

3. Web Page Administration Fee $50: This fee is charged to cover labor expenses to update your web page for changes. This is effective only if you're selling your picks after initial web page setup (other than buy buttons and pick maintenance). For example, changing images weekly, changing names weekly, adding or deleting original content etc. After setup, if you simply send in picks weekly, there is no charge.

Upon receipt of payment for entry into our handicapping contest, we will set up your web page and send you instructions on how, when, and where to send your picks.

It's as simple as that. All payments must be received for the entire regular season for college or pro football, college or pro basketball, before any web page design commences. Because of the web design expense this creates for us, we must ask for all fees in advance. 

Special Note: This is a non-refundable program, so if we build your page, and you decide later it's not for you, there will be absolutely no refunds issued, so make sure you want in, before you proceed in the program.
